Abstract

Abstract: Unemployment increasing in Indonesia is currently a significant, especially unemployment of college graduates. Hence, the development of youth entrepreneurship can be an alternative solution. In the development progress of emerging entrepreneurship programs in a variety of higher education, but have not contributed significantly to job creation and unemployment reduction. In case the complex problems is necessary to study the structure of the program. The aim of this paper is to analyze the structure and key elements of strengthening start-up business program, which is one way of growing entrepreneurial youth.The interpretive structural modeling (ISM) methodology is used to envelop relationship among these elements. ISM approach begins with the identification of elements that correspond to the problem or issueuntil finally the distribution of elements and structures extraction models. The element of objective program have been identified base on their driving power and dependence power. The results shown the key element isto grow the start-up business services unit in college. To achieve these objectives have been element of possibly changes, namely entrepreneurship curriculum changing in college. Curriculum changes focused to characterbuilding and soft-skill, in addition the competence of graduates which are the objectives of national education.Keywords: start-up business, strengthening, interpretive structural modeling

Abstract

Abstract: The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of advertising perception, brand awareness and brand image on brand attitude and its impact on purchase decision. The sample consits of 170 farmer use Sidamethrin 50 E. The method of analysis was the path analysis. The results shows that advertising perception and brand image have positive and significant influence on brand attitude. Advertising perception has a positive and significant toward purchase decision, but brand image not significant toward purchase decision. Keywords: advertising perception, brand awareness, brand image, brand attitude, purchase decision

Abstract

Abstract: The objejective of this research to study the role of organizational citizenship behavior as media tor for the impact of job satisfaction, job environment and organizational commitment towards employee performance. The research perform with explanatory research was carried out in the food and beverage manufacture industry in the municipality of Makassar. The research sample about 200 respondents of total 857 member of population in the division of production, taken by proportional random sampling. Data was analyzed by The structural equation model (SEM). The result indicated that: (1) job satisfaction has significant impact on organizational citizenship behavior, (2) job environment has significant impact on organizational citizenship behavior, (3) organizational commitment has significant impact on organizational citizenship behavior, (4) job satisfaction has significant impact on employee performance, (5) job environment has significant impact on employee performance, (6) organizational commitment has significant impact on employee performance, and (7) organizational citizenship behavior has significant impact on employee performance. Keywords: job satisfaction, job environment, organizational commitment, organizational citizenship behavior, employee performance

Abstract

Abstract: This study is a case study on a tin mining company in Indonesia. The core business of this company is Tin Business. Amount of tin ore production is key success factor for this business. Tin ore production system is a fairly complex system, always changing along with the changing times and the environment change either internal or external environment. This system characterized by dynamically. Thus tin ore production system is dynamic system. Referring to that in this study used system dynamic model as a tool to evaluate and develop strategy to improve optimization of tin ore production. Tin ore production systems consist of two types, there are legal mining and illegal mining. Tin ore production systems are affected by some reinforcing systems and some balancing systems. Legal mining production System characterized by limits to growth, while the illegal mining production system characterized by tragedy of common. The main factors affecting the company performance are the tin price and tin resources. Both of these factors are difficult to control by the company. Thus, strategy development for optimizing tin ore production can be performed on other variables that can be controlled by the company. Company performance in the future depend on level of company ability in optimize production. In this study will be built a model using system dynamic method. The target is to finding important factors in the tin ore production system and how relation between the factors, then it’s can be find of strategy formulation to production optimization. Abstract

Abstract: Investing in a listed company, investors need a solution to decide whether a company have a good performance or not. This research aimed to analyze the effect of firm size, firm age, current ratio, debt to equity ratio and fixed asset to total asset ratio to financial performance of manufacturing company in Indonesia Stock Exchange. This research used quantitative approach by implementing multiple regression analysis. This research population is all manufacturing companies listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange in the period of 2007-2011. There are 58 companies in 5 years period that had been choosen from a sensus method to become the sample. The result shows that firm size, current ratio, debt to equity ratio, and fixed asset to total asset ratio are affecting the financial performance of manufacturing company in Indonesia Stock Exchange. While firm age is not affecting the financial performance of manufacturing company in Indonesia Stock Exchange. The result of this research can become a consideration for company managers in making a decision to improve the financial performance of a company and make a lead to create an effective way of financial system. Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to analyze and explain the influence of Knowledge Management and Organizational Learning on Organizational Effectiveness company. This study reveals the influence of Knowledge Management on Organizational Effectiveness employees, as well as the influence of Knowledge Management on Organizational Effectiveness Organizational employees PT.Surya Madistrindo through Learning. Sample size was 73 respondents as employees PT.Surya Madistrindo Malang. Data retrieved using direct survey method with a questionnaire instrument. The questionnaires were distributed to 73 participants. Of the returned surveys, 54 questionnaires were fully completed. The response rate was 74 percent. This research used a path analysis model to test the hypothesis. Research findings show that Organizational Knowledge has positive effect on Knowledge Management. On the other hand, Knowledge Management is not yet able to achieve Organizational Effectiveness as PT Surya Madistrindo expectation. Also found the influence of Knowledge Management on Organizational Learning which will ultimately have an impact on the achievement of Organizational Effectiveness. Keywords: knowledge management, organizational learning, organizational effectiveness

Abstract

Abstract: Producing shrimps within ecological carrying capacity and economic feasibility seems to be the goal needed to be achieved in order to bring back Sidoarjo to be one of the biggest districts exporting shrimps. Decision makers, i.e. policy makers and farmers are challenged with the responsibility of planning and conducting aquaculture development in a sustainable way whereby social, ecological and economic goals are simultaneously satisfied. Cobb-Douglas Production Function is one of the methods used to know which input highly affects the shrimp production, continued by Investment Analysis i.e. Discounted Criteria methods that include NPV, Net B/C and IRR to see which system is feasible. As for ecological sustainability, this research uses water quality data translated into Pollution Index as an indicator. And from survey that has been done in Sidoarjo district from May 2013 to October 2013, using Pollution Index analysis show that ponds in Sidoarjo are moderately polluted, the next analysis using regression for Cobb-Douglas Production Function stated that in traditional system production factors that statistically significant arepond area, harvest and pond preparation labour, dissolved oxygen and ammonia. In traditional plus system, pond area, fertilizer, saponin and ammonia seems to be statistically significant. The best shrimp cultivation system would be Traditional Plus Polyculture between shrimp and milkfish that has NPV IDR 6.036.817.617, Net B/C 2,91 and IRR 51% compared to other systems such as Traditional Monoculture, Traditional Plus Monoculture and Traditional Polyculture. Keywords: shrimp farming system, Sidoarjo, pollution index, economic efficiency, business feasibility

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to analyze the factors that affect the collection of mudaraba deposits in Islamic banks in Indonesia, with observation period since 2005 to 2013. Vector auto regression (VAR) is used to analysis data in this study. The results showed that gross domestic product (GDP) and number of offices have significant effect on mudaraba deposits, while inflation rate and rate of profit sharing not affect mudaraba deposits. Keywords: mudaraba deposits, GDP, inflation, profit sharing, number of offices

Abstract

Abstract: Service industry has an important role in the economical aspects of every country. In the most competitive era like today, the key to survival and success is providing a quality service. The strict competitiveness causes many companies to focus on their customer satisfaction. The major factor which determines customer satisfaction in service industry is employees’ behaviour which relates directly to the customers. Taking this as their consideration, PT Jasa Marga (Persero) put ”giving the best service” as their principal. Many organization leader believe that customer satisfaction is based on satisfied employees’ service.This research aims to examine the influence of leadership style and organisation culture to employees’ performance and its impact on employees’ satisfaction. The research data indicated that: (1) leadership style gives significant influence to employee job satisfaction, (2) organizational culture gives significant influence to employees job satisfaction, (3) leadership style gives indirect influence to employee job satisfaction through employee performance, (4) organizational culture influence to employee job satisfaction indirectly through employee performance, (5) leadership style and organizational culture give influence to employee job satisfaction through employee performance. Keywords: leadership style,organizational culture, employee performance, and employee job satisfaction

Abstract

Abstract: Low quality of institutions and organization of cooperatives led to lagging performance and the lack of good image of cooperatives in the community. Lack of understanding of the cooperative as a business entity that has the institutional structure (organizational structure, power structure, and incentive structures) is unique/distinctive compared to other business entities, as well as less socializing information about the practices of cooperatives the right (best practices) have led to various problems fundamental obstacles to the advancement of cooperatives in Indonesia. The purpose of this study was to: (1) analyze the relationship marketing strategy on the performance of KPS Enterprises Bogor, (2) analyze the relationship Quality Service to Business Performance KPS Bogor, (3) whether against relationship between Strategic Marketing and Quality Service to Business Performance KPS Bogor. The results showedthat: (1) marketing strategy has a very close relationship and have a very positive influence on business performance, it is seen from the results of Pearson correlation coefficient test for 87.9%, (2) The results of Pearson correlation analysis at 80,7% for the variable quality of service indicating that the relationships formed are very strong and has a very positive influence, and, (3) The results of testing the relationship together indicate that the marketing strategy and service quality has a very close relationship to business performance, this seen from the test results showed the R square of 72,2% and it can be concluded that the relationships formed are very good and have a positive influence on business performance of KPS Bogor. Keywords: marketing strategy, quality service, profitabilitas
